RE: Seminar for Parish Secretaries and Bookkeepers
My dear brother priests:
In order to better prepare our parish secretaries and bookkeepers to understand and implement the 2012 Parish Accounting System, we shall hold a seminar called “Accounting for Non Accountants” on November 25, 2011 from 8:00 am until5:00 pm at the Bishop Cesar Maria Guerero Hall in the Archdiocesan Chancery. There will be no fees but the seminar participants must bring their own snacks and lunch.
It is important that all parishes, chaplaincies and pastoral stations send their secretaries and bookkeepers for this seminar. The full implementation of the Parish Accounting System starting January 1, 2012 will depend very much on the unconditional support of the clergy and the proper training of the concerned parish personnel. I trust that you share this vision of pursuing a transparent and unified accounting system in the spirit of pastoral stewardship and sacramental brotherhood.
Thank you in anticipation of your diligent attention on this matter. Oremus pro invicem.
